Faculty Of Prosthodontics

DESCRIPTION

Prosthodontics restores oral structures through the use of crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. The undergraduate prosthodontic program stretches over three years, beginning with the introduction to the concepts of prosthodontics as pre-clinical prosthodontics in second year. Pre-clinical prosthetics is taught during the first two years of BDS course. The college has fully developed and equipped junior prosthetic laboratory for pre-clinical students. Simple prosthodontics work is introduced in third year which basically involves removable partial dentures followed by more complex cases in final-year BDS. For clinical students college has separate senior prosthetic laboratory equipped with all the required teaching and training aids. State of the art prosthetic laboratory having equipment for removable cast partial denture and crown-bridge fabrication is a big facility for students as well as patients. The laboratory will soon step ahead to metal free restoration and veneers.
